Hark Angel nudges Riverwind with her nose so he would look at her. "The same thing happened to me. My whole pack was destroyed when I was just a pup. They were all killed in a terrible fire. I looked at the whole scene and ran away from everything." She looked away as a silent tear falls from her eye. "I never even knew my parents' names. I was only a few months old. Even all of the packs I tried to join kicked me out." She looked at Riverwind to see his reaction.
