People in Entertainment Who Must Be Flushed

1. John Wells

This asshat has ruined both ER and The West Wing by turning each episode into a BIGGER, MORE DRAMATIC episode than the last one. Instead of the witty, fast paced, Mamet-esque dialogue that once graced my beloved West Wing, we get these pointless “dramatic” sequences where the characters deal with problems in their personal lives. Wretch. This moron apparently subscribes to the Jerry Bruckheimer school of entertainment, which proclaims the philosophy: if you blow things up, they will watch.

2. Jeff Zucker

He fired Aaron Sorkin. I know the guy was addicted to shrooms and didn’t have the best work schedule ever, but he consistently turned out quality television that won the Best Drama Emmy 4 years in a row. You fire him and the ratings tank and you wonder why. Get your head out of your ass - the actors are good, but even Laurence Olivier couldn’t make the crap your current writers are turning out sound interesting.

3. Kathy Griffin

The most annoying woman alive. I stopped watching Bravo (home of WW reruns) for a week because they kept running commercials for this stupid bitch’s comedy show. How bad of a comedian do you have to be to end up on Bravo?

4. Wanda Sykes

Honey, the “I’m a black woman, hear my roar” thing got old a long long time ago.

5. Every member of SNL from 2000 on except Darrell Hammond, Will Ferrell and Tina Fey

Everyone knows this show is crap anymore (long live the 89-94 seasons and the great Phil Hartman), so I really should comment on why those three got exempted. Will Ferrell should be obvious (although I think he’s overrated), as should Darrell Hammond (a great impersonator - his Clinton and Sean Connery bits with Ferrell’s Trebek alone are enough to save him from the fire). Tina Fey’s writing probably has something to do with the show’s demise, but her Colonel Angus sketch was funny, and I’m partial to a cute smart girl with glasses.

6. Paul Shaffer

The worst part of Letterman’s Show. Zero comedic talent. I wonder why Dave keeps him around - maybe because he knows that Paul would have nothing without him.

7. Matthew Lillard and Freddie Prinze Jr

Wing Commander. Scooby Doo. I rest my case.

Post your ideas for this list in comments.
