Is it immediately after eating lunch, or some time after?

Is it an entitlement issue? ("I deserve it", sniff) or just a flat out physical craving?

You have two choices: conquer it, or accept it and minimize the damage. Conquering involves nerves of steel and a pass/fail mentale. Sounds like you've tried that. With demoralizing effects. Minimizing could be more creative. Like KathyC suggested, pack a no-fat sweet--I can't be trusted with a roll of lifesavers either...but what's a roll of lifesavers, 100 calories? (I think they are 10 cals each) that sounds better than 300-400 cals of fat laden baked goods (in a healthy food choice sense, at least!). Even if you eat the whole roll, the lifesavers are a better choice.

I say make this time of the day the focus of your attention for a while. First just observe your behaviour, down to the finest detail (the who, where, what, when, why), see if you can come up with some new insights into it, then we can all brainstorm on ways to overcome it. Approach it like an experiment. SOMETHING is going on in that body and that brain to make that behaviour happen. There MUST be a solution and I know working together we can find it. :0)
