Last night I went to a class called "Nu to You". It was a sampler aerobics class - we did a warm up, 10 minutes of step, 10 minutes of kickboxing, 10 minutes of body bar and then a cool down and abs and then sat around talking for a bit.

It's really designed for those who have never taken aerobics or who are very new to it. I went because it was a good way to see what I'm capable of and what would hurt my neck/shoulders/back too much (like the body bar class).

I rocked in the step portion, by the way. I think I'll take a once-a-week step class. I felt pretty cool remembering all the moves and getting it right - I sweated up a storm too.

Kickboxing is out for a while. Too much strain in my shoulders.

The body bar class was really cool and I'm aiming to be there in a month. You use a bar that weighs 9, 12, 15 or 18 lbs and you do resistance training in a class setting. There is one that is more circuit training (1 1/2 minutes of lifting followed by 1 minute of cardio moves, repeated for 45 minutes total). THAT'S my kind of class. I used to do circuit training @ a gym years ago and I saw fast results with it. last night, I found the resistance with the 9lb bar was too much for my neck still, but not so bad that I couldn't do it. A few more weeks of regular weights/cardio and I'll be ready to start the class.

Have I mentioned how much I'm loving the gym?

I'm taking the day off today, only because Rob and I have a date *LOL* If it wasn't for the date, I'd be right there @ the gym at 4:30. I'm an addict!

Hope y'all are well!
