Once upon a time, there was an old woman and an old man. They were very poor and the old man was a bamboo harvester. One day, he went out to chop bamboo. he walked through the woods were the bamboo grew the thickest. he saw a large, glowing stalk. curious, he walked over to it and started chopping. gold fell out of the hole he cut. he chopped faster and the bamboo top fell over with a large thud. Inside was a a small baby wrapped up in a blanket, ontop of a pile of gold in the bamboo. He took the baby home and his wife agreed that they should raise her.
