To end the truck debate once and for all, its this simple, its all about compromise, turning and grinding over weight. 3 companies indy, thunder and venture, forget all those other companies, these boys know what theyre doing. If youve got some fucking power to you then indys are your best bet, smoothest grinding, sickest turning trucks you can get but with a price, alot of extra weight. Your typical indy lifer being Danny Way, Rowley, Arto, Rick Howard and the like, some serious heads. Then theres the other end of the scale, venture. Dudes with venture pride are typically tech as fuck, light footed and have an ability to loft the fuck out of just about anything, but at the price of quick, jerky non fluid like turning and a slightly inferior grind, Mike Caroll being a classic example of a venture rider. If youre young or scrawny as fuck then these may have some extra appeal to you. Then theres the thunder, almost an indy venture hybrid, turns and grinds a little better than a venture and weighs a little less than an indy, its the all rounder, a good choice for middle of the road skater and the truck of choice for dudes like Appleyard and Marc johnson, nuff said. So there it is.
