Silver mare walks slowly to the farthest end of the paddock and lies down, pangs of pain were increasing.

She lies flat, snorting and then begins to push. Sweat already beginning to break out on the silver mare, for this was her first foal and she was worried.

She pushes again and again, snorting and tossing her head moving the dirt underneath her, she pushes again harder.

Finally the foal is born, the exhausted silver mare turns and begins to clean the foal, licking him tenderly.

She moves a little distance away from the foal, to entice it to stand up.

The little foal, moves slightly and begins to spread out his long spindly legs. One by one he spread them out, then begins to push himself up, but falls, again he tries and againd he falls. His final atempt he suceeds and walks wobbly over to his mother. He begins to suckle from his mother drinking hungrily.

Silver mare nuzzles the little palomino colt.

"I will call you Fuego"
