HEE HEE! Yet another one of my many many boy toys. Heh. Daniel is one of my mangaers at the Cracker Hell (we have many affectionate name for that place - The Crack House, Crack Barrel). Now, calm down kids, Daniel's only 27. I would never actually date him (not the kind of guy a good little gal like me is really compatible with), but man is he fun to flirt with. Let me start from the beginning....
Daniel was the only manager that I didn't know from last year when I went back to work this year. I was like, hmmm, is this guy cool, he's kinda cute, whatever. Didn't give it too much thought. Well, we started talking a lot during my shifts, when we were having slow points and I didn't have tables or whatever. He's had a pretty interesting life and he's got all these great stories about being in the army and places he's gone with them (he's on alert right now and could be called back at any time. I don't like that at all, I'm scared for him to go). So, it was just a normal transition into being friends and being playful and stuff. Ya know, I'd put my hand on his arm, vice versa. Stuff you just don't really notice at first, but now looking back I do. But in the last couple days, things got kinda different. I have to wear my hear up in a ponytail or bun every time I work, but I came in a little early yesterday so I still had it down and straight (and yes, it looked really good). When he saw me, he just like stopped and stared for a second, which of course, gave me butterflies. And I swear, the rest of that day was just cool. There was this one time...we have to take to go orders and put them into the computer. So he was on the phone putting an order in, and I came up behind him and started pushing buttons and messing him up. At first he just erased what I was pushing, but then he grabbed my hand and wrapped my arm around him from behind and held it against his stomach and chest. Can I just tell you that the Army has done great things for this man's body?? Yeah. That was defintely a moment where I went, we have now crossed the manager-employee line. Also last night, Meg and her roommate Sandy came in for dinner and I wanted them to see Daniel so I took him out to the table. Now, I have to say, he has a great @$$. GREAT. I mentioned that to Meg before he came out, and as he walked back to the kitchen from the table, she was like " oh, yes. We like that rear view." HA! Anyway, it was just little things like that to go order thing that happened all night and it was SO FUN. I love flirting.
Although, you gotta know something about the Cracker Barrel company - there's this "no fraternization" clause in the managers contracts. We (the servers and cooks and stuff) can all hang out with each other outside of work, but the managers can't. Well, Daniel and I had talked about how we both we on Instant Messenger all the time, so I asked him for his screen name and he said he couldn't give it to me cuz of that rule. I was surprised that was consider socializing but whatver. Then as he was walking me out of the store, he said something about "you'll get it someday." And I was like huh? And he said something about how I'd just happen to come across his screen name or something and then said "do you work tomorrow" and I said no I work thursday and he said ok. I'm not sure but I think that was his way of telling me he'll give it to me somehow. I don't know, I really don't know what he said, he was mumbling. So, we'll see what happens. Oh, he's so adorable. Great eyes, great smile, GREAT body. Too bad he's only my height though. Like 5'8" I think. Anyway....that's Daniel!
