Subject: Coconut Pound Cake Recipe

I had several request for my Coconut Pound Cake Recipe so here it is:

2 sticks butter, 1/2 C solid Crisco, 3C sugar, 3C plain flour (White Lily), 1 can coconut (7oz), 1-tsp baking powder, 1-tsp salt, 1-tsp vanilla, 5 eggs, 1C milk.
Seperate eggs, beat egg whites until stiff and then add 1 cup of sugar. Cream butter, Crisco and egg yokes. Beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Fold in coconut and egg whites. Pour in greased tube pan. Bake at 335 for an hour+ until cake tests done. This is a large cake so be sure you use a large tube pan.
