OK, #4 just states that stallions ARE allowed to claim, but mares also have their own choice when choosing a herd.
The next one I don't really understand what you mean, but basically, the whole 'related horses only' came because the man's player was having trouble with all these stray horses coming and going as they please. Horses are not allowed to mix with the tamed ones either.
And yup, the whole TT thing is correct. You just use the maps to see what TT is closest to you, and post there 'passing through' on your way to your new one.
