I agree, you've got to chalk it up to the overwhelming injuries in particularly the ballhandling department. The chosen breakneck pace to take advantage of the frontline depth required matching depth in the backcourt (which in this edition was clearly in the more complementary role) to pull off squad maximization. Not only was the load increased on the leftovers at G, but it also lessened their overall ability to maintain & support the featured role of the bigs by getting the ball to them timely & in sync.

I've got to say it felt weird to actually be pulling for UNC in the game. It took the combination of the injuries making them underdogs vs KU, the fact of no shortage of ambivalence EVER to the Jayhawks, & that I knew you had the reservations & tix (clear #1 reason for a compassionate empath like moi, lol).
