Subject: Thank you

As the wife of a police officer I deal with the everyday worry for the safety of my husband and his fellow officers as they do what they are trained to do. It still amazes me after 3 years that he wants to do this, not for the rush it might give him, or the power that people talk about police officers haveing, but because he truly wants to do something to help and protect those who can not do it themselves. I thank God everyday when he comes home each night and I pray for those who are going out. In doing this I realized that you guys and your family's do not have this luxury. It makes me take a moment and think about how truely amazing you really are. I know that you get lots of e-mails thanking you for what you do but sometimes I don't think that those people truly understand the sacrifices that each of you and your families make. I realize that my husband is not gone for months at the time, but I still relate to the fear and the pride that your families feel when they see you in your uniform doing the Job that many do not want the responsibility of. It is hard having the role of hero and I just want you to know that I think all of you have more than me the requirements of the title. I wish you all the very best. May the Lord bless and keep all of you.

Julie
