I AM AN ARMY VETERAN--THAT'S THE TITLE WE GET WHEN WE ARE NOT DEFENDING PHYSICALLY ANYMORE. MY HUSBAND AND I DISCUSSED ALL THE EVENTS THAT ARE GOING ON AND WE AGREED THAT IF WE DIDN'T HAVE CHILDREN WE WOULD HAVE RE-ENLISTED TO JOIN THE FIGHT. I APPLAUD YOU AND YOUR TEAM. THE ENTIRE MILITIA GETS MY HOORAHS BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE. WE HAVE UNCOVERED OUR OLD UNIFORMS AND TRIED THEM ON JUST FOR OLD TIMES SAKE, WE'VE DONNED THE WEIGHT SO THE BDU'S DON'T QUITE FIT THE SAME WAY. WE EXPRESSED OUR THOUGHTS ABOUT RE-ENLISTING IF WE DID NOT HAVE CHILDREN TO OUR PARENTS AND THEY THOUGHT WE WERE OUT OF OUR MINDS. NO ONE CAN POSSIBLY KNOW THE FEELING IT IS TO BE AWAY WITH YOUR "FAMILY" AND STILL MISS YOUR FAMILY. WHEN YOU'RE IN THE MILITARY, YOUR FRIENDS BECOME CLOSER THAN FAMILY AND OCCASIONALLY YOUR FAMILY BECOMES DISTANT FRIENDS. THE MILITARY NO MATTER WHAT THE BRANCH, IS THE BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS, WE KNOW THERE IS A BIGGER OBLIGATION NOW, AND OUR RESPONSIBILITY LIES MORE THAN JUST IN PROTECTING THE COUNTRY, BUT OUR BUDDIES & FAMILIES AS WELL AND STILL BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN TACT AND DISCIPLINE.

I COMMEND YOU, YOUR UNIT, OUR PRESIDENT AND YOUR FAMILY THAT IS STATESIDE FOR STANDING BEFORE US ALL.
