Hello Staff Sgt Lucy, baby brother, and all aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. First of all I would like to say " Happy Birthday Marines" YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST keep up the good work. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you and I pray that all of you return home to your friends, family, and loved ones safely. You guys are the BOMB.(no punt intended)
SSGT Lucy, I have been keeping up with your emails on Ace & TJ and also reading them on the website. I have enjoyed them all and look forward to the next one. Your emails make me feel like I am a little closer to whats going on over there. In your last email you said you had to decide if you wanted to re-inlist. Have you decided yet? I know this must be a really tough time to be dealing with that but you will figure out what is the best thing for you to do. I bet your little girl hopes that what ever you do that it brings you closer to where she is. That was sweet when you told your little brother "I Love You" on the Huey. I can see why he wants to be like his bubbie. You seem like you are very caring and wonderful person. He is lucky to have you there with him watching after him. With what you guys are going through it can't hurt to have an extra eye watching out for you.
I don't think I ever took the time before to appreciate you guys for all that you do for us, people like me that you don't even know. But I do appreciate you and I want to say "Thank You" for fighting to make it safer for us to live and espically for single mothers like myself to be able put my kids to bed at night without having to be frightened because I don't don't have a man in the house. Since my divorce a few years ago I have not been lucky enough to find Mr Right and its good to know that I live in a country where its safe for a woman to raise her kids alone without fear. I love you all for all that you give to this great nation. It takes brave and couragious men and women to do the jobs that that our military do. I thank God everyday for you. I know I could not do your job and I just want to thank you for being brave enough to do what the rest of us can't. God Bless and take care you are forever in my heart and always on my mind.
