Subject: Slightly bothered

A month ago, Jeff's cousins (adults) were supposed to come out and spend the weekend with us. They said they could not make it because of financial reasons and Rhonda (the wife) was not feeling well. Why they thought they had to spend money, I don't know. They let us know the day before they were supposed to come. Not polite but whatever. I have told them that they have an open invitation to come see us. They are about two hours away and have never seen this part of the state. Anyway, I happened to mention that Jeff's brother and sister in law are coming out for a week over Christmas (I cannot tell you how thrilled I am about that one! Jeff better take off of work while they are here. I am not spending MY holiday break entertaining them!) and now his cousins are making sure that they come. What's that about? We're not good enough for them to come and visit but bring out the "good" family members (Jeff's brother is like the golden child of the family) and they are here in a heartbeat. I really like Jeff's cousins so I am kind of hurt at how they are behaving.
