If this looks like teeny, tiny miniature cotton balls, and furry, it is a natural soil fungus.

I am sorry, I cannot remember the name. But I have it on good authority that it is one of the natural breakdown components of soil.

I noticed this stuff In Side the pot after I moved to So Ca. It can be radient yellow, or odd green, as well as cream white. Aside from being moderately unattractive, there is no harm in it. Vinegar or alcohol should do the job.

TC will also exude a crystaline structure that could appear 'fuzzy' from excess fert or salt in the water. You can leave fingerprints in it, but it will not feel like velvet or mold. It will feel gritty.

There are lots of reasons why TC is way better than Plastic, but some folks have their minds made up before they enter the game. There are also some plants that do much better in plastic, I just don't grow them.

Thanks Liz, Cena. For the time being, the Fuzz seems to be under control, and I hate to disturb the plant again, so soon....but at the slightest hint, I'll definitely employ your suggestions! Any new TC's will get some pre-conditioning, too!
