Subject: creating an artifical inviorment
how far can you go?
i have,in my main display/living area(area51):
a celing fixture containing warm and cool floresent tubes.
a "cood mist"humidifier(modified).
a vaporizor for very dry days.
a fan(from the humidifier)pointing into the corner.never stick a plant into the corner without air cirrulation.
3 fountains and to help keep the humidity up,very difficult to do in an inside open room.
an open deep dish of water for emptying saucers(handy)
i do allow a certain number of spider webs in non-visable places,there always full of fungus gnats.
an east and south window(by good fortune).3 gazing balls of various sizes to reflect light,and some mirrors.
im constantly looking for ways to improve lighting,its the most important factor,imo.
how far can you go?

Always looking for ways to add light and use the natural light that is available. But I love light, lots of light, the plants are a handy excuse for more. Humdity is rarely a problem for me, but that's a climate thing. My dream home is a greenhouse with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Kind of a Frank Lloyd Wright interpretation of my own. OK, did I get the name of the architect wrong?

I've been scouring thrift stores of late and just putting stuff into terrarium situations. It's so cool what you can find for $5 or less, less, less!
I'm too lazy to deal with an entire room!
