Subject: Botanic Violence (During Student break time)

Man beaten in bottle attack
BBC TV NI 10 April 2004

A man is in hospital after being beaten repeatedly on the head with a bottle in south Belfast.
Police say the 34-year-old man lost a lot of blood in the attack.

It happened at Botanic Avenue at about 0430 BST on Saturday.

A man is helping police with their inquiries.

Detectives want to hear from two other men who were walking with the victim at the time of the incident.
