Teen charged with attempted rape

A 17-year-old man has been charged with attempted rape, burglary and assault.

The charges relate to an attack on a 42-year-old woman in south Belfast on Friday night.

The woman suffered bruising and facial injuries in the attack at her home in Marlborough Gardens. A neighbour who heard screaming held the attacker until police arrived.
