Bogus caller alert by PSNI

28 January 2005
Belfast Telegraph

Police in South Belfast have warned residents about bogus callers after a pensioner had her handbag stolen at Harberton Road last night.

The woman let a man in to 'get water for his car' but he then stole her handbag.

The thief is in his late 20s with thick, wavy hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave Street on 9065 0222.
