Subject: Nickers Author: Kianga and Nadrin [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 19:45:49 11/23/01 Fri Her figure was hardly seen..yet she knew the dark foal by her side would be clearly visible. The cold wind brushed through her silvery mane that brushed about her milky cream neck. She whuffles softly..cantering over to Lightning, greeting him with a nod of her head before striding over to Yarrawa, she sniffed the silver mare, she too was nearly invisible..Yarrawa now carried Lightning's foal ? She would be a good dam then..Kianga swings her back and nudges Nadrin forth, introducing him to Lightning's herd..her first foal by Baringa.. ~The dark bay snorts and holds steady, glancing around, dark eyes watching. He turns to his dam and lets out a little squeal of defiance but he moves forth as he receives a sharp nip from his silvery cream dam. He moves forth, snffing curiously at each mare..then back, perhaps one day, he too, would like a herd just like Lightning..an ambition... She whuffles gently, she felt secured indeed. She knew, they seemed to need no other except each other. She could still recall the first day she had arrived here and laid her eyes 'pon the grandson of Thowra. She gently nips him..before turning her attention to their hyper active son.. ~Young dark bay wanders further from sire and dam..gazing silently into the snow. He whickers as the snowflakes fall..he pushed through the snow then looks back to both his sire and dam, they were both invisible in the snow. He could hardly see them..yet he could make them out. They were a beautiful couple..yet he wondered..would he be like his sire when he grew older, needing only one mare or having a wonderful herd like his grand-uncle Lightning. He turns, gazing 'pon Lighting's herd. Almost all the mares were invisible..except for the ones dubbed Kalina and Mystic..like two mysterious shadows that brought up the silver herd..he tunrs back to his parents before sneaking out of the valley to wander.. She whickers softly and gently to her..silver cream mare then calls to her near-sneaking out son.. ~Nadrin turns immediatly, frightened..he gallops over to his dam's side and nudges her. Attention then turns to the other filly..his half-sister ? Little dark bay snorts as he approaches nearer..he trudges through the snow before heading back to his light dam..not knowing what to make do.. Kianga whuffles softly, nudging Nadrin foth to go play with the little filly. Silver cream mare wanted to rest.. ~Nadrin snorts before taking a step forth again, towards the filly. He stared hard at the filly before turning to look at his silver cream dam. He wasn't sure..then he moved forth again..he kicks out snow at the filly with his hind legs..he squeals playfully as he starts racing across the white snow..kicking out at the filly playfully..he then halts and dances over to the filly, nudging her..before racing off again, daring her to catch him.. Kianga watches her dark son, so vunerable out in the open snowscape whilst she and Baringa belonged to the snow where they were safe. Nadrin's only haven was the dark forest and night..he was named for..Nadrin the Dark..true, he wasn't midnight black..but those eyes of his. She remembered Man's face when he saw Nadrin's eyes..Kianga snorts..loving her mysterious dark son..she strides through the snow..cantering over to Baringa's side and nuzzling him..
