Subject: Do you always have to specify the extension?

I just registered Rename-It 2.0 and have a questions and some comments:

Do you always have to specify an output extension (like JPG) to prevent the existing extension from being stripped off in rename operations? I thought perhaps using "*" would leave it intact, but the program doesn't rename at all when I enter that (although it says it completed the operation). This seems like a small thing, but there's no way to know what the existing extension is from within the program, so you have to open an explorer window to the same directory.

The only other thing I'd like to see is the "Desktop" and "My Documents" folders appear in the browser window at startup to save a couple steps in getting to these commonly-used folders.

Thanks for a very fast and easy-to-use product!
-Mark
