Subject: If YOU Won The Lottery...

What would you buy first? As most of y'all could guess, I would buy a horse. I was looking at all my pics of my horses and ponies I miss them so much! After I bought my horse, I'd buy a house, give some cash to family/friends, save enough for retirement, and give the rest to my fave charities.

[> Give my parents some - so my dad can retire and they could move back to St Louis, some to my nephews for college and to start their lives with, and my sister some so she could live comfortably and not worry about money so much, pay off my ex-husbands bills and mortgage - what a relief that would be!, hopefully start a no kill shelter for strays and do animal physical therapy instead of on humans! surprise huh! ha ha! They would be much more cooperative. =0) -- RebeccaG, 17:52:39 01/22/02 Tue

[> [> I'd work with you on the no kill animal shelter, Rebecca. And also educating the public on the necessity of spaying/neutering pets! Millions are euthanized every day because of over-breeding. What a tragedy. I'd also want to start a retirement home for horses and ponies. It is incomprehensible to me that some of these animals wind up in slaughterhouses after years of serving people. Makes me so mad and sad. And I'd also start, in conjunction w/my sis, a shelter for abused women who want to start a new life. Help them with therapy, clothes, gettting a job, etc. So many ideas, so much money needed to make them realities... -- E, 11:20:11 01/23/02 Wed

[> [> Hey Gail - thanks for the info - I'll have to buy a ticket! - I like all your ideas - E if either of us win lets both retire - and do the animal shelter - for all animals - not just for dogs and cats but all those that people think have outlived their usefullness (not that any of them have). And given my past I am all for the women's shelter - maybe we can educate schoolage kids on abuse - to all living things as they are so closely connected not just spay and nuetering. -Gaily - want to join us - you could work from home or have Sky with you! ;0) -- RebeccaG, 19:39:12 01/23/02 Wed

[> I don't play the Lottery very often..but, I do luv my scratch off tickets!...Currently my luck is running great with the $2 - 'ELVIS' , win a trip to Graceland!..I've bought 4 and already won $10.00, besides they have nice pictures on them...and well if I were ever to someday win millions in a lottery....I'm buying my dream house and moving back to Colorado....but the odds are higher that I might find a few extra bucks hidding on the bottom of my purse and I'd be just as happy to spend it on something at the dollar store! -- kiedstar, 20:53:58 01/23/02 Wed

[> Well, Ya...it does happen to somebody!....when I lived in Denver, there was co-worker that won the lottery ..." she had to split 14 million with 3 other people" it was pretty cool to actually know someone who became rich in the lottery... ...I asked her what she planned to do now that she didn't have to work anymore....Her answer was, just take an RV and travel with her family! -- kiedstar, 14:29:41 01/26/02 Sat
