It was the first week of school as the students began filing in for morning lessons, before lunch and evening practice. The topic of todays class was on Meditation. The teacher at the front of the class was of elven decent with golden hair faded with patches of gray, her name Ms. Aribella Silverleaf. In a clear ringing voice the topic of the day was stated, "Alright students, todays class will be on meditation, a very important skill in the life of a mind-mage." An exasperated sigh was heard throughout, but no one lifted their hand in protest, except for one boy Alaron, from dal'Karath. "yes, Alaron, you have a question?"
"yes ms. silverleaf, I was wondering why in the heck we must bother with medelsome things such as meditation, I mean I want to learn mind magic not how to meditate."
"Ah, like so many other students of mine over the past 100 or so years you are too eggar, well how about this, I will put you and your classmates into groups and in the next 20 minutes you and the others in your group will answer me the question of why meditation is so important to the mind mages of today as well as yesterday." the immeadite sassy reply came,
"Look I came here to become a mind mage and that is what i want to do leave the meditation to the priests." words of rebuke,and encourgment came softly.
" I regonize the same sprit in you as you as someone else I know when I was your age, me. I used to fight against everything every last one of my teachers said because I thought that just after being in school for one day I would know everything. but that was certainly not the case, I spent half of my life mastering this art, but I did that by finally understanding that my teachers were probably like me in their younger days and they were probably teaching me stuff I needed to know, so will you at least try?" The reply was of over exaggerated exsasperation.
"Oh, alright, but I still see no point."
a feighnt smile comes to her lips. "That was what I was hoping for."

20 mins, later after seriously concidering Aribella's point the group alaron was in came up with this answer... The reason meditation is needed in the mind mages life is because they have to use that to clear their mind, so that they can be focused and ready to use their power at need without a chance of failure or something bad happening due to lack of control. The answer was recieved with much praise and happiness, and a promise that Alaron would try harder to do what was needed because he wanted nothing more than to become a mind-mage.

(whew! that was a lot of typing, well that was it, hoped you liked it. *grins and crosses fingers prepared for anything.*)
