got this info of the shaknews gaming news site. Goes to show that winning loads of tournaments does not go unnoticed. If we can get some competition teams together we can start winning some tournaments and gaining some publicity of our own.

One of the members of -Myths- dropped off some information about his clan, which has won five of six Southern California Counter-Strike tournaments, including the GXP Best of the Bay tournament held last weekend.

The Bay Area is home to one of the most dominating Quake clans of all time, the famous Death Row, and it's home to the current west coast champions of Quake 3, Canine. It's a competitive gaming hotspot, and by virtue of being a strong CS clan that's coming out of that area, -Myths- is worth watching out for.

Heres the article:

-Myths- isn't big into online competition ("We believe that online gaming is a joke .. with all the cheats out there") but they're currently competing in the CAL Open playoffs as a No. 4 seed after finishing the regular season 7-1.

Competitive Counter-Strike in North America still revolves around the dominant teams based on Texas, but it's only a matter of time before west coast teams start making it big. There are tons of gamers out there (GXP reports that close to a hundred spectators were watching the championship match between -Myths- and MTD) and plenty of them are good.

That said, to be the best you have to play the best, and west coast teams coming to the CPL World Championship simply haven't played the best that North America has to offer.
