I am not sure if you are knowing, but Mistress Ranae, of Farnacium, is putting a lot of effort in an idea to enhance roleplay in Gor... it is a non-mandatory caste registry... much like a census of who is practicing which caste in Gor nowadays and how to make contact...

By all means this is not some form of "control" of who can or cannot be in a caste... the idea is light for a change *L* The point is to bring approach between those that are in need of a service and who can provide that... it shall be extremely useful not only for Merchant caste but for those uncertain of which caste to follow in their roleplay as it shall explicit a clear view of what castes are unplayed or less popular per region...

Also the point is not to stimulate "Gor cell phone" contacts and roleplay through it... I am sure that might be interesting though to know that in a city near yours there is, for example, this awesome basket maker you can travel to meet in realistic roleplay when needing a basket *winks*
