"I guessed for few employers would come in and request the head of assassins - most just ask for an assassin, any assassin. And I've heard that the Thieves' Guild will be sharing our premises, and that I do not mind much. For the professions of both of us are similar, only I take lives and you take the contents of purses..."
A smile touched her features as she considered the similarities between theives and assassins before her thoughts strayed back to the conversation, and she continued.
"Nay, we can chat a bit, but not for very long. I can find my target easily, I know which area he is in. No one escapes me for long..."
She considers this proposal. The purses of assassins would be untouched by all but the freelance theives, which could be dealt with and the funding for that would be provided by the theives. It was a fairly win-win situation, since the theives could easily gather coins whenever they chose and wouldn't be out of the money used to pay the assassin for long, while assassins had to be hired and had less freedom of choice over their victims - which might come few and far between.
"That sounds like a fine deal, I'm sure no one here would mind. This would protect both your profession's honor and the public from the freelance meanaces. It would also provide us with more potential business while assisting you to stamp out the threats of freelancers... A generous offer. We thank you."
