She nods in return, acknowledging the girl's presence. "Good afternoon." she motions towards a chair, indicating for her to have a seat as she sits herself. "To begin with, there are some rules you must agree to abide by, even if you do not end up being a Master Thief, whether it be you do not pass, or decide that that is not what you want, if you are a thief, you must obey the rules. First, and foremost, the Guild comes before whatever personal interest you have. If not, that might show your loyalty is fading... Second, you do not steal from other thieves or assassins. Assassins are deadly enemies that we happen to share a building with. In return for their cooperation, I give them business and we do not steal from them." she muses for a moment, wondering if the girl connected where the business came from and her dislike of freelancers. "Third, you do not betray your fellow thieves to their marks, especially if it is a hired job. Fourth, you do not steal from another's mark. These are the foremost rules of the guild. Some others include that you cannot steal from the same person until after two days and you must pay ten percent of every job to the guild. This is to insure your loyalty. If I cannot be sure of the loyalty of a thief, I cannot have him or her in the Guild. If you agree to all these rules, we may begin your training. If not...I must ask you to leave." she says simply, emerald eyes studying her, waiting for her response.
