Yes this is something that I started about 12 years ago, and in the Winter they have grown to be dependant on me for shelter and food. I am sure they could and would find shelter some place, but when I place those nest box's on the tree by the house, it just makes me feel great to see them each evening. When they hear me they know it is feeding time, and they also know it is safe. I do have to relocate a cat now and then that I catch in a live trap.
