Subject: Allergies

Does anyone know of any common allergies flyers can have? Awhile ago, I noticed that my guy, Icarus' tale turned black and he began losing fur. My vet said that he had allergies and was licking his tale a lot. She told me to give him benedryl twice a day, and this corrected the problem. Over the summer, we were living in a different place, and he had no problems, but once I moved back home, it started all over again. Does anyone know what he could be allergic to? He mostly lives in a drawer with shirts, so could it be fabric detergent, or is it something he eats?
