Becca, were the calcium blood level tests done prior to your doing anything at all with regard to adding more calcium to the diet?

You can have lots of calcium in your body, but if D3 levels are low, the calcium will not be utilized by the body.

So could it have been a long-term low D3 level that was/is the culprit? Did the vet test for D3 levels (if there is such a test available).

A liver that is not functioning perfectly can have myriad effects upon the body. If the liver is the problem, it may be very problematic.

Please keep us posted and keep up the good work - it is encouraging to know that some people (lke yourself) will go to most any extreme or cost to care for the little ones they promised to care for - so many "tire" of their committments and , well, you know....
