This time was easy. She came running up the side of her
cage expecting a treat. I could see she was nursing. It
very seldom is that easy. If they are denned up, hole
plugged with bedding a few days, there could be babies.
IF it is breeding season. If you check a box and the
female tries to kill you she is either pregnant or has
babies. With very few exceptions they are very good
mothers and will protect the babies by attacking any
intruder with vengance. Only one in a thousand are not
this way, so don't expect a welcome.. lol

This time of year I go by their behavior and check boxes
one to three times a week. There are usually a couple
litters close together.
