Subject: Why the calvinistic doctrine of Total Depravity is false

Total Depravity is a false doctrine because it teaches that one is totally unable to believe and obey God unless he is regenerate (born again). But it is an undeniable fact and very clearly taught in Scripture that no one was born again prior to the resurrection of Jesus Christ and so all the Jews who believed and obeyed God prior to Jesus believed and obeyed him apart from being born again.

Calvinists on the other hand teach that those Old Testament Jews under the Law and who believed and obeyed God were born again. There is no such evidence for such an outrageous claim and the only reason they make this witless conjecture is because they know that the only way one can claim that their doctrine of Total Depravity is true is by making this claim without any evidence whatsoever. And just think about it. To be born again means that one was washed in the blood of Christ by dying with him and raised up anew into his resurrection life to become a temple of the living God. So the Calvinist actually claims that there were born again human temples washed in the blood of Jesus who were then commanded by God to sacrifice animals at a stone temple for their sins. What sense can that ever make? None. God would not dishonor the sacrifice of his son in such a way and the Bible makes it clear that Christ's sacrifice made it possible only after the cross to be born again into the resurrection life of Jesus Christ.

There was a reason John the Baptist came preaching the kingdom is at hand and baptizing people into his baptism of repentance. Something new was about to happen. God was only now about to save his people, the Jews from their sins (Mt 1:21) which they had committed under the first covenant (Heb 9:15) so that they could be born again into the resurrection life of Chirst and live a new life. Thus the new covenant.

There are many other Biblical reasons why the Calvinistic concept of Total Depravity is a lie of the devil. This is only one.
