(sorry, random title)
With a detached feeling, she observes the area around her. She had come to love this place for its peace, serenity, seclusion. Now it was filled to the brim with drama, and not always good. Her friends were growing up and moving on, and she felt stuck in a rut. The old games of tag, hide-n-seek, and racing seemed so... used. And yet, she still wasn't avidly interested in colts for anything more than playmates, so she had no outless for her once-boundless energy. She sighs; would any of these foals care to know her? She knows that you can't just sit and wait to make friends, you have to go out and meet people, but she didn't want to interrupt someone's conversation. She looks towards the exit, considering leaving, but the drama was little better at home.
Home. Where was her mother? Her adopted father and brother were both long gone, but Eternity was in and out, more out than in. For that matter, had any from her herd survived? She lies down subconsciously, her head resting on an extended foreleg. She hadn't seen a single zebra since her arrival here, and was beginning to feel like an outcast. Her new foster-father was the only one ever really there for her. To the others, she might as well not exist. Realizing she is brooding in self-pity, she shakes her head briefly before resting it against her leg once more, waiting for sleep to take her.
