Suppose I've only witnessed the success stories. There area facilitators I've met who incorporate other things into their teaching strategies because they say the same thing...not one system works for all people. If it's true that dyslexia has as many facets as fingerprints...hmmmm.

There's an optometrist my daughter went to who had her perform these fun little eye exercises which allowed her, at 14 to read her first complete book and she loved every minute of it. I thought she was healed. She is alot better off but still struggles with flipping letters around at times..but she can read now! This optometrist is also a "learning development specialist" and she performed a 3-hour extensive eye exam to enable her to diagnose which muscles in Gabe's eyes that she needed to strengthen because she wasn't using them.

I was impressed. Have you tried that avenue?
