I wanted to add more about famous people. Notice how there are a lot of actors and actresses that make up the list. Most any dysliac can tell you why. It when a dysliac is in school you have to be a good actor to hide your problems. I did great in elementary at being sick so I could go home. I could even raise my body temp so the nurse would believe me. Junior High the first year I was unable to find the nurses office. The other kids you have to act to hide what you are so you don't stand out. I really think this is why they become such great actors just to survive. I still have to act to keep my job of 27 years if my boss was to find out I will loose my job. I mean act normal.

Brent,
I really do feel your anger and pain but your obvious displeasure with yourself would not change the fact that you ARE dyslexic. I guess I'm one of those people you are complaining about that don't feel at all depressed that I am dyslexic. Sure I can't spell too well and my reading is labored and I need a computer program to write texts like this reply. Fortunately there's so much more to people's importance in life than simply being able to read and write. I know many people with masters and beyond that are unable to do some of the things I can do. Most importantly is the ability to be a visionary and look beyond the scope of normality. Our most important people in history, scientists, artists in many fields and including visual arts are overwhelmingly dyslexic. That's not a bad group of people to belong in.
