Gymnastic athletes wearing catheter arrangements

I have made a strange observation regarding the genital area of young gymnastic athletes. Some of them seem to wear a pad-like thing at the bottom of the stomach just above the genitals, and it also sometimes seem to run a tube from that thing down to the penis or vulva.

I think some of them are catheterized in periods and that this pad is a bag for urine.

To get flexible anough all structures in the pelvic area must be stretched or undergo some type of treatment, including blocking, relaxing injections (botox), surgeries and the like. If not the structures can burst during training and performance.

But this intimate adjustments probably makes it necessary to have something helping their urination in periods, and hence that arrangement.

The arrangement may also be a regulation tools tool for the adjustments, some kind of measuring arrangements to monitor physical parameters during training or a tool used in some sort of scientific study.

By the way, i know that this sometimes happens to ballet school students, because these are often used as guinea pigs in scientific projects.
