Corith returns to his heap of ferns. ~You know, Cor, you're supposed to sleep on that hay.~ says Dyp absentmindedly. Corith yawns. ~K, whatever.~ he says, and is soon asleep. Dyp looks around. Seeing Cleo curled up on a pile of laundry, he sits back in his bed. Pulling out a small ocrina, he picks out a few sweet notes. Then he begins to sing a song. A song his mother, Cleopatra, taught him when he was young.

Sleep, sweet thing, go lay down yo' head,
Rest and rest like the rest o' the dead,
When you awake, I'll be cookin' yo' supper,
And when you wake, t'will be late in the 'morrow...

But before he can finish the lullabye, he himself is enveloped in the gentle hands of sleep...
