Got picked thirtieth or so, all the stands were available. Bob got picked 20th-ish. Bob picked 9, I took 7. Im not sure a deer has ever been taken out of 7, and its bad luck continued this morning. Bob missed a doe that the guy in 10 wound up taking. It busted him, and he had to take an off balance, offhand shot.

I went to the private property where my wife saw that buck I tried to post pics of below. None of the deer seasons are in in PA right now, so I just hiked in, set up my treestand and watched. I saw about 12 deer. Half of them I couldnt tell what they were in the low light. I saw one NICE buck, a few spikes and forkhorns, a monster doe, and some fawns. After sunset, I saw two deer together. I couldnt tell if they were being amorous or sparing in the low light, but they chased each other around, and at one point, were standing right next to each other with shoulders touching, looking at each other through the one eye they could each still see. They sparred briefly, but I heard no sound.

I can't remember seing more deer in one day ever before in my life. Im gonna leave it alone now until the gun season re-opens (its a shotgun season in this part of PA), and set my wife up right where these three cricks meet where most of the action was.

I think Im gonna ride down and see what the new BassPro store looks like in Baltimore in the AM. I need some decorating ideas for the new house's basement :) Paul, you wanna come? Call me on my cell phone around 7:00am 302-562-5455. I plan to be in Baltimore by 9am.

Jeff
