Biological weed control is the introduction of natural enemies of a particular weed of concern. Most "bad" weeds are not native to the US and were introduced into the US without the natural enemies that keep the plant in check in its native range. By introducing host specific (they only attack the host plant) enemies, the natural balance can begin to bring the weeds under control without the use of environmentally dangerous chemicals.
