Subject: Andy's Soma Project blues...

Andy, and other such fans...
i feel your pain. i fell in love with candid more than three years ago now (when daydream was still attached), thanks to an introduction by my friend Jen. i loved the music, the atmosphere at their shows, and the antics that would make us all laugh. i think the best show i have ever attended in candid history was the Crooked Things cd release party. the top hats & canes, the dancing (to great songs such as Skunk), the famous white jumpsuit, and the pyrotechnics were amazing, not to mention the fantastic music from that show. this was the candid i fell in love with. nowadays, their shows (and material) seem to have dwindled down to their last 2 cd's released, with an occasional throwback to Thing's Is Burning or Bum's Watch. and, as Andy said, not to "hate on" their last 2 albums (which have been fantastic) but us long-time candid fans miss the first album. honestly, at the last few shows, i'd have killed to hear Skunk or Gaia (2 of my favorite songs). i'm not sure what has happened to the songs on the first album, but candid.......just know that there are fans out there, like Andy, Jen, and myself, that miss the Soma Project dearly, as it reminds us why we love the band. here's hoping to see you play in Syracuse sometime soon.............

~ Dee
