Well.. that might be a good idea for Venhydra if it got a few more members.. and it might encourage more to join there. The Alliance however is not so wealthy a government to build such a facility, and their training is primarily unstructured. Some time ago we were considering a training progam of some sort, but it never came about because most of the people who join like to have characters that know what they're doing.. and are already established in some field or another. See what everyone else thinks anyway..

Ok..I'm just musing out loud here.. so feel free to ignore me.

Mostly I'd like to encourage interaction between the governments, which usually comes only with some serious planning because of the small amount of players. The two planets are way too separated.. they never interact, so they never get stirred up with each other, which weakens the incentive to fight with them. Also because they are so separated, people who join the side that has fewer players soon either want to switch or join with a new character on the other side because they are getting no interaction.
There has got to be something that forces them together and highlights their differences, allow them to get in verbal or physical scraps, make threats...and incite the battles we're supposed to be fighting.
The way the story is supposed to go, is that the Federation is the supreme force in the solar system, while the Rebels are smaller, less organized but determined and diverse in their skills. The way it is now it is really the other way 'round.. there are many more Rebels than Feds and if we weren't holding up our imaginary forces, the rebels could take over Venhydra in a heartbeat.
The Rebels have already done that once and there was some good action for the Alliance that followed, but only because I was playing literally all of the Feds since there was nobody else.

Anyway.. I think we need a space that will be used by both parties. Maybe I should delete the cantina's and put just the one on the Station so both sides go there for recreation..
hmm..
