That sounds like a really good idea! Perhaps we could even do a presentation at the U of A sometime. It would involve talking to some of the music professors, but it's possible that they'd be quite interested in traditional music, especially if we can convince them of its ties to Ozark heritage. Also, I was thinking that we might be able to do singings at nursing homes, for the older folks and shut-ins. There may be some aging Sacred Harp singers out there who just can't get to us. Another thought is singing at Civil War battle re-enactments, such as occur locally in places like Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge. It would add a historically accurate touch. I think there are plenty of opportunities in this area to promote Sacred Harp music.
