Subject: Clucking Possum Meeting Author: Staff [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 19:36:09 03/02/06 Thu :::WARNING::: PLEASE FORWARD WITH RECKLESS ABANDON melding of the minds 1st meeting: Tuesday, February 21, College Coffeehouse at 5:30 pm comes a time when we shed our winter coats, slip secretly back out onto the trail, seek out our trusted friends and step back into tracks we've left before--yeah those sneaky ones leading in a different direction. time to let go of hibernation's dreams, no more playing dead, it's time to wake up y'all... clucking blossom collective calls you and your creative ways!! get ready to start cookin up love for this year's event with this fund raising idea: the stepper at uaf student activities is bringing performance artist, one-man-band, TIM FITE to town in the Hess Rec Center, Friday, March 3 and in The Pub, Saturday, March 4. not only is tim fite a pretty rad bad ass: http://www.timfite.com/ http://www.myspace.com/timfite http://www.billions.com/artists/timfite/index.html but these events will generously serve as fundraisers for this year's blossom event. we're hoping to throw these shows a la clucking blossom style and to transform those old familiar venues into something a little juicier... here's where you come in. we need a few fresh opening acts or bands plus any and all of your imaginative and freaky ideas to turn these shows into something a little more bedazzling... a little more infosational and consciousness raising... mebbe multimedia shows projected on walls... guerilla costume parades... spontaneous acts of beauty and rebellion... circus renderings.... geek shows... art tables for making stickers and such... trapeze acts... i totally want to fly the trapeze... and we need you to come to these shows!!!! if you're interested in conspiring with the blossom for these shows or future events please come Tuesday, February 21, to the College Coffeehouse at 5:30 pm. this will be our first "official" gathering since last year. please join us!!! it won't be the same without you and your ideas. if you can't make it please reply for more info or to contribute your thoughts!!!!!!
