Subject: Nemesis speaks (Thursday's card and thoughts on Monday)

The arena goes dark. Fireworks go off as Hail to the Chief hits. The crowd boos as Nemesis makes his way to the ring. He climbs in, and moves over to the ring announcer. Grabbing the microphone from his hand, with a muttered "I sign your paycheck" when the man seems ready to object, Nemesis turns around in a full circle, and begins to speak.

Nemesis: "What a great Monday night! We saw Captain John Nebula advance in the World Title Tournament, along with Rob Van Dam, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and, of course, the Dragon!"

The crowd boos at the mention of the Dragon advancing.

"I know I SAID I wasn't aligned with the Dragon, but...well...I guess I lied! The Dragon is perfect as my lackey...errr...partner. He will win the World Title Tournament. In fact, it seems we'll have seven competitors in the next round. I'll give you all one guess as to who gets the bye." Nemesis smiles as the crowd boos.

"Ran Deveis. No hard feelings, 'buddy', but you were in the way. I'm sure Dragon would have kicked out anyway, but had to make sure, you know. You just aren't worthy to hold the World Title. Dragon, now there's a worthy champion. Don't feel bad though, Ran. There isn't really anyone else in the tournament who is worthy. Stone Cold? Ha. Just cause he was good in the WWF doesn't mean anything here. Rob Van Dam? Yeah right. The Rock? Catchphrases aren't everything. The Spaceman, Nebula? Don't make me laugh."

The crowd boos as Nemesis puts down the fan favorites.

"Oh, would you people just shut the hell up? You wouldn't know talent if it bit you in the ass. I know talent. And that's why I've formed the Nightshift. An elite group, lead by me. Granted, right now it consists of myself and Dragon only, but that's because I haven't seen anyone else yet who could possibly fit the requirements. I look for winners in my stable, not losers, like Ran Deveis."

The crowd's booing grows even louder as he insults Ran Deveis.

"Now, onto more important business. Thursday. We have 3 tournament matches. We'll see Ray Sharpe VS Wild Child Pain, The Bounty Hunter VS Rampage, and The Rock VS Bubba SparXXX. In addition, Stone Cold Steve Austin will take on Rob Van Dam in a non tournament matchup, which ought to be a truly mediocre battle between two mediocre wrestlers. Lovely. I can't wait. There is still room on the card, but for now, those are the matches. Now, I'm leaving, as I have far more pressing business than addressing all of you peasants."

If possible, the crowd's booing actually grows louder as Hail to the Chief hits again. Nemesis heads to the back, the crowd booing him the entire way.
