I went to the Bay once and once only in 1968 and that was to see Tyrannosaurus Rex - the Bolan and Steve Took version. They played King of the Rumbling Spires as an encoreFree played support - this was probably their first ever show in Sunderland. I was 14 and had to lie to get in. It was a school night and we had miles and miles to walk back home (to Hetton-le-Hole)!
