I just purchased a 69' Fastback that came with a brand new/rebuilt 1600cc T1 engine. It runs great but is TOO SLOW FOR MY TASTE. I have a 2186cc (T1) in the garage that runs great and I want to put it in the T3. I have had a few Bugs and a Ghia and done a bunch of engine work but this is my first T3. The question is 'What am I going to have to get machined to make the T1 engine fit the cooling tin and mounting of a T3 Fast back?' I was told I need to put three bolts in to hold the fan shroud but I haven’t really looked in to it too much. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks
