Ive just lowered my 71 Square by two splines at the front, and all was fine, albeit with tyres rubbing. So I fitted a pair of 145/65 x 15 tyres up front and now the car (axle or towing eye) is catching on uneven road surfaces. This seems odd as other cars are quoted as being lowered 3 splines up front, so, is this normal?
I just read of someone doing serious damage to the beam as a result of this, so Im a bit wary.
I havent yet lowered the back end, but wondered if lessening the rake may help when I do?
I dont really want to raise it up, or ditch the new tyres, so any advice will be appreciated ..... would stiffer shocks help?
Cheers
Mike
