Things like "SUM41" or "WHEATUS" they are aimed at stupid teens just as much as "s club" or "j-lo", anyway all music is money any record you listen to has been hyped up and aimed at people to sell it, even DYLAN and THE BEATLES or even NIRVANA, have been signed because they will make money. Rock Music huh... its just an other view point, i dont get angry that stupid drunken, drug fueled, heroin taking, wife beating, child raping, hotel smashing "so called" hero rock stars, go out and say to children and other people, that is cool to take drugs, is cool to burst your liver with drink, and its cool cool to make fun off people that basically like another form of music. people on this board keep going on about that good music means freedom to express yourself, then, why the hell are YOU telling people what to listen to. S-Club juniors? Gareth Gates? Clearly these bands are targetted at the young who have some disposeably pocket money. OR thew feeble minded who actually believed that thier votes on the pop idol final would make any difference whatso ever. Both finalists won got thier deals and are now the Kings of mass produced Karaoke shouldn't people be in some kind of uproar that the pop idol organisers took thousands in telephone calls then ignored the public will that Will should win? At least Rock does not pretend to be the only thing on the radio. At least Rock has song writers and we are not left to listen to the same songs that our parents tortured us with when we were 3!!!!!!!!!! personally I like hip-hop. It makes me smile.
