It is with great sadness that i inform you pop loving, talentless loving people that one of music's greats has passed away. John Entwisle was the greatest bass players ever. Classically trained as a musician, "The Ox" was, and will always be remembered as, the heart of The Who. Never did he complain about hotels, instruments or dressing rooms, he was an honest, colourerful, and creative man. When Keith Moon smashed up his drums, or Townsend windmilled his guitar, or Daltrey threw his mircophone about, John Entwisle held the greatest rock band in the world together. Some times out of sheer musical pride, but always as a duty to his quite selfenfacing personality. His bass playing helped give The Who their sound, and that gave the world the great rock albums Who's Next, Tommy, Quadrophenia, Live at Leeds and Who are You. John Alec Entwisle will be saddly missed by anyone who lives for good music. Thank you John for the good times, for the songs and the memories. May your sole rest in peace, and may you cause Rock n Roll mayhem with Keith Moon in heaven. Thank You.

Hi Raymond,

I was totally shocked by John's death. I mean why do talented people have to leave us? He contributed more to music than crap bags like Geri ever could.

RIP I say.

His memory will live on, not just in the records he, along with the Who made, but through rock fans through out the world, who will always make rock music tick.

Long Live Rock!
Long Live The Who!
Long Live Rock n' Roll!!
